What does Verbacount do?
It reads the subtitles of every video of the YouTube channels you choose and counts how many times each of your words is said in them. You get slides ready to post: with one channel, its trend year by year; with several, how they compare.
How much does it cost?
1 credit for a complete slide deck. No subscription: you buy credits when you want, they never expire, and a credit is only used if the deck is made. The free preview shows your cover with made-up figures, no account needed.
How many channels and words can I compare?
Up to 6 channels and 6 words per deck. You can also count only the videos of some years.
In which languages?
Each channel is counted in its own language. A comparison brings together channels that speak the same language.
The channel I want is not in the list?
Ask for it from “Request a channel”: we fetch the subtitles of its videos and you get an e-mail as soon as it is ready.
Where do the figures come from?
From the videos' public subtitles: the channel's own, or those YouTube generates. Each word is counted with its forms (plural…). A video without subtitles is not counted.
Can I post the slides?
Yes: download them as images or as a PDF, or make their public page to share it. The figures come from public videos, with no link to or partnership with the channels.
Can I get a refund?
A pack none of whose credits was used is refunded within 14 days.
